Jenica Wright (she/her, they/them) is a trauma/somatic practitioner who identifies as a woman of color of Sindhi origin and currently resides on the unceded land of the Piscataway and Nacotchtank (also known as Washington DC).

Current Work
Jenica is a STAR (strategies for trauma awareness and resilience) practitioner with Eastern Mennonite University, a Healing Touch Practitioner, and a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner (TM) . She gives workshops on how communities and individuals can heal from trauma ,avoid compassion fatigue and be more present in their bodies. She also provides opportunities for people to explore healing from trauma through trauma awareness education, Somatic work, self-care and energy healing. She currently organizes on issues relating to implementing survivor centered legislation for sexual assault survivors and bringing trauma awareness and education to advocates working for social justice. She also works as a consultant for organizations seeking to make their policies more trauma informed and healing centered and create self-care plans for their employees. As a Healing Touch Practitioner she incorporates energy healing into her self-care consulting for individuals and offers Somatic Experiencing sessions for helping the nervous system reset after trauma. She is a proud member of the Breathe Network providing holistic services to survivors of sexual assault.
